  18. 1. CHOOSING EPS OR WMF FORMAT
  19.  
  20. IN THE MOOD PC images are provided in both WMF (Windows Metafile) and EPS 
  21. (Encapsulated Postscript) format. If you're not sure which format to use,
  22. choose WMF. It will work with the most programs and print to both non-
  23. Postscript and Postscript compatible printers.

  25. If you are preparing your files for offset printing and will be sending your
  26. files for high resolution output at a service bureau, you may want to use
  27. EPS format. EPS graphics require a Postscript compatible printer for proper
  28. output, however. Check with your service bureau to see which format they
  29. prefer.

  31. 2. FINDING THE IMAGE YOU WANT
  32.  
  33. Open the PC-EPS or PC-WMF folder. Inside you will find folders corresponding 
  34. to the chapters in the manual. Inside each folder the images are listed 
  35. alphabetically. So if you want to use an image called "space dog," for 
  36. example, look in the "Animals" folder, and scroll down until you get to 
  37. the S's.

  39. 3. IMPORTING THE CLIPART INTO YOUR DOCUMENT
  40.  
  41. Open your program of choice, and import the image. You may need to browse
  42. the directories to get to the drive your CD-ROM is in, and then to the
  43. appropriate folder on the CD-ROM. The import command varies for different 
  44. programs, but is usually "file--place," "insert--picture," "file--import"
  45. or something like that. Remember, you can't open these images by double-
  46. clicking on them. You must access them from within the program you are
  47. using.

  49. 4. EDITING THE CLIPART
  50.  
  51. IN THE MOOD clipart can also be edited in most drawing and paint type
  52. programs. Here you can add color or change the clipart to suit your needs.
  53. To do this you must either open or import the images from within your
  54. graphics program.

  56. In addition, EPS images are saved as Adobe Illustrator 1.1 files and 
  57. can be edited in their original form by any program that can read this type 
  58. of file.

  61. manual.

  64. 5. PRINTING
  65.  
  66. Print your images normally through the print command in your software
  67. program. If EPS images print jagged, try using the WMF versions instead.
